What's the smell?

Must be me....I smell like noob. I'm David, and I'm from the Los Angeles area.

I like cars (obviously) and have eclectic tastes. I've been fortunate enough to acquire a few cars over the years, some of which might fit in with the demographics of the H.A.M.B. (a 1950 Ford, 1954 Chevy pickup, and a 1971 Dodge Charger). I like to do most of my own work, too, so long as my skills or tools can handle the job...because my wallet sure can't handle the job of paying someone else to do it all. :)

Enough about me, and more info about the cars...

1950 Ford - It's a mostly original 1950 Ford Custom, with its original flathead V8 and three on the tree. She's a nice street cruiser, drives well, and most everything works, though the interior is tatty and the clock and radio don't work. I call her the "Old Lady". I literally bought it from the little old lady next door who wanted me to have it. What's not original on her? She's seen a repaint at some point in the distant past, and she's still rockin' tatty old vintage upholstery covers from the 60's. She's very stock, and I plan to mostly keep her that way. Won't be rodding her out, though I may lower her an inch or two someday. Here's a pic of her when I first got her. She's received a lot of TLC since then, and is back on the road and looking nicer these days.

1954 Chevy 3100 5-window pickup - Another "mostly" original, I inherited this truck from my father. Still has the original drivetrain (inline 6, three on the tree). The interior's been refreshed and it was repainted back in the 80's. I use it as my shop truck as intended.

1971 Dodge Charger - This car is my long term project car. I'm going nuts on this one. It'll be a restomod hoonmobile. Full cage, modernized suspension/brakes, 500ci built 440. Won't hit the streets for years, but it'll eventually get there. Baby steps, baby steps.

...I also have other cars you guys may not be interested in, but satisfy some of my other car interests:
    -1966 Porsche 912 (totally stock)
    -1990 Mazda Eunos (highly modded)
    -1993 Lexus LS400 (beater)
    -2006 Lotus Exige
    -2007 Ariel Atom

Holy crap! A good intro... that almost never happens. Welcome from Texas! The '50 and the '54 are more than welcome to the HAMB. The Charger is awesome, but not really appropriate here. Again, welcome and nice intro!
