We all have those cars or parts that we just know we should have bought or traded for but for some reason we just passed them up. I know i screwed up when i didnt buy a mint '65 coronet 2 door post with a 440 for 800 bucks!:p

  2. I'd say you screwed up, but don't dwell on it, I took a perfectly nice running Rochester carb Tri-Power set up off my 40 Chevy and sold it to a guy in 1992 for $65.00. Hind sight is always 20/20.

A fixable complete '50 Ford Crestliner steering wheel for $350 at a swap meet 4 years ago. By the time I came to my senses an hour later it was gone.....

Generally I don't let too many deals go by, but I find there are fewer today with everyone on the internet.

Too many to mention but the one that really haunts the hell out of me is the gasser 62 Vette that needed interior work and a new engine for 3500. I told the guy I wanted it but he sold it hours before I got there with the cash:(

can't think of anything I have let slip through my hands and regretted.

the list of cars and parts I wish I never bought is quite long though.

An OT car, but my '78 Dodge that I drove in High School. I sold it in 1995 and have never had the time or money to take anything else to completion. I'm going on two years with my '64 Merc and it's still a mess.

I had a 64 Corvette with both tops in great shape from 71-73; bought it for $1600 and sold it for $1650. I thought I was doing good at the time. Second, was a fair shape 55 Chev. Nomad that I bought for $100 and resold it for $200 before I could get it home.

  23. Around 1976, I bought a '32 Tudor with a decent chopped top in order to get the chassis. I paid $275.00 for it. Around 1979-80, I sold the body back to the guy I bought it from for about $75.00. That still haunts me.
I thought about hiring someone to kick my @ss.

I could go on, but I would embarrass myself. :)

I let something stupid pass thru my hands, but it wasnt a car part..or a tool..well maybe a tool..lol
    Life's been great ever since:D

  27. '56 Crown Vic for $600 the week after I got my '55 Victoria for the same amount of money and in much better condition. Then '55 Ford convertible in '82 for $2500, no title or interior, but body/drivetrain done. But stupidest one was probably in '80 - a '40 coupe I got for parts/no title, stripped to shell and sent off for rip-rap because the trunk floor was gone and roof was stepped on.
