I think we're at about 146" so far this year... it's been damn ridiculous, and stressful as hell. PennDOT has been pretty lax this year, and hauling gasoline and propane hasn't been real fun. Oh, the challenges of life... they sure can make things, umm, 'interesting'!
no friggen way!!!!!!! i might be wrong on our (Michigan)total snow fall..but its no where near that!..jeasuscripes dude..and i thought my shoulder and back were about to give out this winter..i couldnt even imagine146" OOps edit..i read that at Toledo Express airport..(near my place) had a record monthly snow fall of over 30"..so that was just for one month..dont know what its been for the year..guess i do know the reason for my pain
Good thing it's going back into the 70's this weekend down south, Ya'll will be back on your feet in no time!
I love it. I stay home from work (only to work from home) and enjoy the day with the dogs. I miss it sometimes but it's nice to be back up to 66º by the end of the week.
It was 60 here last week I really thought the bad weather was over all the stores starting to put garden, and pool stuff out and then this morning we wake up to this lol. We almost never get a good snow just sloppy mess so the kids were pretty excited to go out and play!!! come on summer!!
Thats funny how places like that shut down for a couple of inches of snow. I woke up to 18" of new snow saturday morning here at my house. Thats a total of 3 ft just at my house.
As I pointed out earlier,,,this hasn't happened around here to this extent since 1988,,,that's 21 years ago! We Just don't see it all winter long every year like some of you guys! HRP
om in new york ..today were i live on eastern long island we got 14 inches here ..i hate it what a mess ..
And it only took 13 posts to get this one which always comes when we get our once per 5 year snow! That's right. We close the schools, shut every thing down for a day and ENJOY!!! We spend the day at home with our families or work in our shops on our projects. And one other thing.............................we usually get paid for the day as well! So laugh on brother, we're enjoying it with you!
I'd say that a couple of those shots from the south ought to be your own personalized Christmas cards this coming Christmas. I can't laugh as we are supposed to get a bit of snow here tomorrow and these guys have already put their snow driving brains away for the season.
Saturday night is when the stuff came through here and it rarely snows here maybe 3 to 4 inches at most, I woke up to 17" of the white stuff here Sunday morning.
I wish we could "enjoy" our snow like that. We don't have to shut down untill we get at least a foot, usually not even then if it didn't drift too badly. We'd only have to work a couple days each winter if we couldn't handle a couple inches of wet slush. Going down to about 8* tonight ; nobody is worried.
We got about a foot, too, but I showed up for work at 8:00 for my 13 hour day behind the parts counter. We've been pretty busy, though it's dead now.
How did this miss the Northwest. We had rain the last two days. First time since Nov. that something other than snow has fallen from the sky.
Here's my driveway Sun. morning.. first measurable snow in nine years. Also some very confused livestock who wandered out... Brian
OH NO the sky is falling! Run for cover. You guys crack me up. Around here when sliding off the road ,out of control first thing said is yeee haaaa watch this now we are having fun.
The first time I ever saw that stuff down here in the South, I thought that the grits factory had blown up.
The scene in my front and back yard. And yes they cancelled school. Good thing it was 70 the day before, because it snowed hard nonstop for about 8 hours. -Mike
