    tie rod end adapter?
     
  4. Is it to legthon the tierods? Would it screw onto the tierod then the tierod end screws onto it to make it longer?

    Its a Mustang 2 Rack extention. You have to take the passeger side boot off, unscrew the tie rod. Then (use loctite) screw it on to the end of the piston, then attach the tie rod to the end again.

    You may have to drill out a set screw on the rack depending on the model of the rack you have. It takes some strength but the tie rod does unscrew from the rack.

    I think it is intended to adjust bump steer.
