the West Coast of the United States is 1300 miles long. the Goodguys Western Nationals is in Pleasanton at the end of August if you will be anywhere near the San Francisco Bay Area. pretty sure the drags at Bakersfield (3 hours south) is in October. no HAMB member should ever miss seeing that if given the chance. what's the official name of that one?
Sept 18th-21st come on over to Charlotte for the Charlotte Auto Fair... Huge swap meet... But it is about 2300 miles away... If you wanna fly I can pick you up at the airport...
He's right. Bag the West Coast. Hit up Charlotte-it's huge, then come up to Pennsylvania for Fall Carlisle-almost as big and then hit Hershey in early October for the best and largest car experience on Earth. You'll wear out a lot of shoes-that's about 40 miles of walking, and you'd better arrange a shipping container or too as well.

OK sounds like a plan The Peterson and NHRA museum are great in the LA area I love Disneyland Drags in October in Bakersfield Billetproof in September in Antioch Speedweek in Bonneville is usually in early September if I remember right. The Blackhawk Auto Museum in Danville is pretty rad too. If you make it all the way up to the north end of the state, you can stop by my house and have a cold beer, it should be triple digit heat by then!!
If you have never been to Bonneville, you should go. My wife and I were there Oct. '01. I was told Sept. was the better meet. However we couldn't get a plane out in Sept. '01. I will go back!!! It's that much of an experience. Gene.
Bonneville Speedweek is Aug 9-15, 2014. World Finals (also at Bonneville) is Sept 30-Oct 3, 2014. Speedweek is bigger, more spectators, hotter, and higher costs. World Finals the weather can be great or rain cancels it. El Mirage is Sept 14 and Oct 19. drag week first part of september. oklahoma/kansas ares this year. 6 sec street driven hot rods racing at 5 tracks driving from track to track no trailers queens. 1500 miles. bad ass. its a site to see.
