Post count is not a guage of anything. Look at Cole Foster, I dont think he has hit triple digits yet but has contributed some serious info/inspiration to the board. Some folks have jobs that keep a computer in front of them 50 hours a week and use the board as a stress relief/virtual car magazine. Also, the post count is not accurate back to 2000 or so since Ryan has purged some old junk. I can think of Root, Rocky and myself that would prob have 30K in posts if the true number was there. But, I suspect BadBob will soon be there anyway hehehehehe
Yeah, I lurk and read more than I post. I'm trying to change that as the grandpa car comes closer to being "finished". Participate in an active manner. All I can really share is the progress we make on grandpa's car, I have no technical skills, no metalworking skills, we're not chopping the top, shaving handles, nosing or decking, not installing airbags or performing complicated engine swaps requiring fabricating brackets or crossmembers, so I'm limited in those ways. dv

Ya' know, I use the "Search" function on this and several other boards I'm on, and I usually find what I'm looking for without posting. I know the folks on this board (and many others) take a dim view of people who come on here and ask something that has already been quite adequately answered several times before. The only real reaction I have on this board are things like this, where I can maybe help to explain what's going on. I believe I have contributed positively to this board, but I don't think cluttering it up because you can't use the "Search" function is a positive thing. Thus, my post count is quite low. The Tubman

Once you go past a 100 posts the FNG thing will go away or fork over the bucks and become an Alliance Member and get some great saving from the supplies. If your building a car you could save big time with an Alliance Membership here on the HAMB................. CRUISER
Just wondering though, could you not be a fng or newbie if you are somewhat active and not post, say if you were here for a year or more, technically I am a not very new to this, just like lots here???
No, but dont worry about money,***le or post count. I am amazed how many people worry about this, even friends! All is cool, we ALL were the FNG at one time.
Thats cool I state observations like that as well. Sometimes you need to get dialog going. No worries.
