Every time I look at this car it just bugs me. And it isn't the basic style so much as it is a total screw up the builder made. What is it?

Been stretched at the front and the rear section of the cabin has been lengthened. Dunno why they stretched the frame? The bed doesnt look too flash either, but I bet the owner/builder loves it.

The nose is too long. Room for two small blocks! The bed is too tall, what's it hiding? a 30 gallon gas tank? I dunno, it's easy to pick on though.

All the things you guys mentioned plus the baggy top and the dorky wheels but the drag link was the thing that really got me. And if you see the front view on the ebay it is just as bad with a panhard bar that runs on an angle with this realy busy coilover set up.
I can find something out of place on about 90% of the ebay rods but this one was like seeing a blond out of the corner of your eye but when you take a look she has a huge nose and one boob three times bigger than the other.
Like Baskerville said, if the hairpins/radius arms and the drag link aren't parellel to each other and the ground it throws off everything else you have done. His sense of balance and proportion for a basic rod were impeccable and timeless. Even a small point like the radiator setting an inch too high can just mess up the whole look of a car.

The engine is set too far forward and that's where the problems started with the longer nose. You see too much of the trans.

I think it looks sweet but I beleive in the front axle was moved back and put in the stock position of a model a it would pull the wheels back to were they need to be. The draglink apears fine yo be based on the corvair box that he is running. I like it though. What is it under on ebay?

Looks like he started to build a T-bucket then changed his mind.

    Proportions...
    ...all wrong

Pretty much what everyone has said already - wheelbase, front end, bed, cab, top, wheels, draglink, etc, etc.

All of the above, give it to me, I'll part it our, or maybe put a hot GMC straight six in it. Or 2 v-8s.

Is it my baggy eyesight or does it have real short hairpins at the front?

Also, if he put the drag link up where it looks like it was meant to be, reversed the steering arm, he might have a hell of a problem turning corners with the wheels going the wrong way [IMG]

  21. Dunno. Kinda looks like someone messed up building a kit car. It's weird though... there was a new guy about a week ago that posted shots of his car that actually looked something like that, but it was all homebuilt and in black. For some reason his car didn't look off like this one.

It could be just me but is the frame kinda bent or shape like a 32 perhaps, but instead of putting the wheels in the curve they kicked them way out, left that curve just sit there empty.... maybe its just the pic, or my bubbled computer screen.. Another excuse for a flat screen moniter!!
