    Great info, thank so much.

Since I'm trying to stay around the 3 grand range and I'll actually use my truck as a truck from time to time, I think I'll focus on the non-unibody version.

61-71 Dodges look good but the early 4 headlight ones are ugly. The later grille like Big Dads truck looks awesome.

...always wanted something like these, but like I've always said, I'm a little weird.

unibody truck have good lines, but if you are going to use it as a truck they had some problems, that is why they only made them 61-63, if you loaded them heavy the body would begin to sag where there is usually a separation between the cab and the bed, then you couldnt open the door because it put it in a bind.

Jeep J-3000 Gladiator. Makes the other trucks mentioned look like they were styled by Richard Simmons.

  8. Take your time, I bought my '61 short bed for $1100 just a couple years ago. Yes, rusty, but very fixable and already had a 390 swapped out. I would not pay more than $2k for a unibody unless it was already restored or in sweet original condition.

My favorite is the 63 GMC's... GMC and chev still did things a little different at that point in time... GMC's had coil front and leav rear and still had a hydraulic clutch. If you can find one with a original chrome grill all the better..

this was mine... Really wish i had never traded it off...

This is my daily when I'm not commuting (100mi. each way). I bought it back in July after looking for a decent one for > 2 years. I paid $800.00. Drug it home put about 8 hours in it and was driving it around the yard. 352 with 3 on the tree, swb custom cab, even the damn cigarette lighter still works. I saw 3 at Pigeon Forge, all were long beds and averaged around 3,000. Mine's not the greatest by far but I always loved these trucks. This is my third one all 352's with 3 speed. I hope I can keep this one. I highly recommend 65-66.

Went looking for a short bed mid to late sixties Ford with Twin I-beam. Brought this home about six weeks ago. Lowered, 390, 3 on the tree with overdrive. Semi-daily driver and pull a camping trailer.
