I drove a 62 unibody for a while and my only complaint was the steering column angle. I actually saw a thread on here where the guy corrected that problem for little cash. Wish the HAMB existed when I had my truck!

So, my vote, unibody all the way. For a 60's truck, it is my all time favorite. Really, for trucks in general.

Anybody want to sell a unibody?

here is my 67, it sits on a 71 chevy frame. since the pics ive swapped the truck ralleys for vette ralleys with baby moons. 327/th400. sometimes i think about selling it to fund my 33 ford truck project but i dont think i could, my dad and i built it and ive had it for about 10 years now

I have owned several of the GM and Ford variety and I can say without a doubt that the Ford cabs are way ahead of the chevys for quality. The last good cab chevy had was the ADs. The unibodys are cool, never owned one though. The 64 Ford is still a solid front axle, 65 and 66 have twin I beams and are good trucks, also most of the underpinnings up to 79 fit them but I was never real crazy about the style. My favorite would be 68-69 Ford.
I also like the torsion bar chevys, 60 to 63 I think. They ride real nice and are adjustable for ride height. You just have to put up with some "issues" One bad thing about those cabs is the door checks are junk. Let the wind catch the door once and it will lay it back against the front fender and ruin your door.
