les 's steel 32 built in 56 only change is the tires still has dual quad 265 in it not a tru highboy but i like it
This is my current favorite (mine). There's a lot more "favorites" I could list if there were room and time.
I am kinda surprised that no one mentioned the fenderless 34s that an LA dealer raced at Mines Field in 34 and 35...almost completely stock except no fenders or windshield. Yes they were badass right off the dealer sales floor. There are good photos of them in the Ford history books, slidin sideways on the dirt track. Always surprised me that a real nice high boy can be almost stock. Boy they looked cool...
This is my favorite car in the world..... But this is the only pic of it I have, anyone got any more info or pics of this thing?????LUKESTER
LUKESTER, if I'm not mistaken, that car was featured in Hot Rod magazine several years ago. It's owned (or was) by someone well known....he owns an induction company or something, Inglese maybe?...damn, I hate it when this happens. I remember looking at that car when I was building my tub. I almost painted the tub flat beige. I would rate that right up there on my list.
SO many kool cars....this post got me thinking.. 1- Pierson Bros. coupe. None cooler. Defined the radical chop. Still looks right and radical today. 2- McMullen Roadster - Defined the black-with-flames look for roadsters, defined "60s-era", still looks great today 3- Shine's truck. Redefined "cool" when people were looking for a measuring stick. Brought the rat rod look to a finely-crafted machine. Looked industrial, racy, nostalgic, and fresh at the same time. Took my breath away when I first saw it. The perfect "anti-billet" poster child. Will be making a strong statement for many years to come. Scotch~!
My Dad's car (cause I'm a little biased)... It's my favorite because he built it himself and it's the car he always dreamed about having. My Dad's been into cars his whole life, but this was the one he always wanted. My mom did the interior and my cousin did the paint- a weird family collaboration. It's also the fastest car I've ever been in which is the entire point, right? Now if I can only get him to stop lurking and intro himself, then we'll have something...
Some more Northeast iron: Merc Y-block This is an original body too. Not sure who owner this one: I believe that's a Maseratti twin turbo V6 or something.
To me this is every bit of the word 'Hot-Rod'!..I use to see this car in the lil'mags growing up and then when i saw it in person for the 1st time...I was floored! Its always been one of my all time favorites...
