"Miller Jack and Mad Dog", "Johnny Law", and "Brand New Cadillac" by Wayne Hancock

"My '63" Whiskeytown (Neko Case vocals)

"Pass You By" by Gillian Welch:

I got an old V8 from the year I was born
Don't look like much, just a flat black Ford
The engine's clean, I could paint it someday
But most of the time I like it this way
Don't turn no head, don't catch no eye
Just a wind on the road, gonna pass you by
Well I used to talk tough, I used to get loud
Want to paint my name all over this town
The folks lined up just to dog my day
Now if i stay quiet, they stay out of my way
Don't turn no head, don't catch no eye
Just a wind on the road, gonna pass you by
I got a brand new plan, I'm gonna help myself
'Cause it's a fat man's town, I'm gonna share the wealth
Put the money in the bag, keep your hands in sight
Turn around, count to ten, and I go back into the night
Don't turn no head, don't catch no eye
Just a wind on the road, gonna pass you by
Don't come over here, Don't scream don't cry
Just a wind on the road, gonna pass you by
I got an old V8 from the year I was born
Don't look like much, just a flat black Ford

Brand New Cadillac was originally written & performed by Vince Taylor & The Playboys from England in 1958. Wayne Hancock's version is great too. :)

Back when the SEMA Show featured top notch entertainment, The Beach Boys (including Brian in a rare on stage performance) performed on a stage that was surrounded with deuce coupes.

"TRANSFUSION" made in 1956, sung by Nervous Norvus. " I'm a coming down the mountain on a rainy day, if you see me coming you'd better start to pray, I'm a cuttin up the road, and I'm the boss all the way." "Transfusion, transfusion, oh Doc I'm solid mess of confusion, I'm never never speed again, put a gallon in me Alan".........(check it out folks! )

    hey daddy-O!

make mine type O will ya doc?! :D

lots of good ones on the chrome smoke and fire collection!

"the hot rod race" and all of the hot rod lincoln songs are great!

We were ford men and we likely knew that we would race until something blew! -the hot rod race

It was late in the evening and moon was pale,
I was putting the miles between me and jail,
a gal on cycle was cruising along
I was minding my business, singing a song,
Til I saw a sidecar on that harley
and a gal that was stacked like a sack of barley
I didn't know what the gal was thinking
but she was poking fun at my hotrod lincoln
Well I'm telling you that didn't set good
cuz I'm proud of the motor under the hood
so I put my foot down on the gas
and honked my horn and started to pass
well when I did she pulled away
really took off wanting to play
Well I wasn't for racing cuz my motor was tight
I'd just got the rods back in last night
out inthe stretch she cranked it wide open
the rods in the lincoln kept me a mopin
I was trailing behind to keep her in site
cuz I didn't have nothing to do that night
she passed every car with no sign of fright
her hair streamed out like the tail of a kite
she went over a hill the bike started shaking
she was hitting on 90 and really a raking
She took a curve on the side a bad mistake
a sidecar cycle went out in the lake
I slammed on the binders went into a spin
the steering wheel hit me under the chin
I looked for the cycle a sidecar float
without any sails it resembled a boat
I looked for the gal and saw nothing but bubbles
when I pulled her out I found nothing but trouble
I had a hold of her hair she really was sore
she sputtered and gurgled for a minute or more
she finally quit moaning when she got her breath
she said "you fool you scared me to death"
she cussed me and bit me and wished I was dead
she said I believe you got rocks in your head
I liked the gal and the way she looked
she's the kind you read about in a book
I got her and the cycle back on land
we started talking and making a plan
the cycle was wet and wouldn't start
the lovebug was biting away at my heart
now we're planning on our honeymoon
cuz we're gonna get married on the first of june
with me and the lincoln she's not fickle
cuz she quit riding that sidecar cycle

I tried to cut between two headlights there till I found out they was a matching pair -hot rod hades

Alright, hold tight, I'm a highway star

I love her, I need her
    I seed her
    Yeah, she turns me on
Alright, hold tight, I'm a highway star

    Nobody gonna take my head
I got speed inside my brain
    Nobody gonna steal my head
