The Rip Chords version of "Hot Rod USA." It has the line "there pulling out flatheads and dropping in caddies" in it, what more could you want?

The Beach Boy doing "Shut Down."

I have a strange thing for "RPM" by The Customs...off the Hot Rod City comp LP.

I love Pat Davis doing "Spinner Hub Caps."

And finally I love the Bobby Fuller Four cranking out "Phantom Dragster" and Gene Vincent racing the Devil always gets to me.

I'd forgotten this one until you brought it up. The little Nash Rambler song.

I favor Setzer's Rockabilly Riot, Vol. One. namely:
    "Put Your Cat Clothes On"
"The Peroxide Blond in the Hopped-up Model Ford"
    "Real Wild Child"
Not necessiarily car songs, but close enough.

"Mercury Blues", the older versions not Alan Jackson's version.

"Rumble", Link Ray and the Raymen

"Rebel Rouser", Duane Eddy, recorded in Phoenix in an empty steel water tank.

Any surf music gets me revved up and as said in another post "Radar Love". That one makes me think of the movie "Vanishing Point".

To throw in comedy albums try on Peter Ustinov's, "The Grand Prix of Gibralter". Funny stuff if you appreciate dry British humor. Yeah, this movie actor made a good stand-up comic.

    Come on, MORE, MORE!!!

Are you saying that Country and Western singers can make good CAR music?
    I agree.

How about Tom T. Hall's story songs "Convoy", or "Wolf Creek Pass"?
"...and he bashed in the side of the feed store in downtown Pagosa Springs."

    Hell Yes!!!!!!!!
    Appleseed you hit!!
HAMB has:a road side directory, t-shirts, stickers, alliance, calendar.....

    Now a car-themed music album?!!!!
Ryan and hamb officials is this do-able considering copyright & permission details?

Evel did a great job w/ MFS tunes. But it is not exclusive to automotive lyrics....That could be the angle that the HAMB Cruisin Compilation would take? Guys? Please consider this? Thanx--Nick

    -----------------------------
And if copyright is an issue keep lo-key. Traditional. Community. Like the Ha/GR. Approach bands like Bleed, "krupanut", Deke dickerson, Jerry King--That are small independant performers that my be more willing to grant copyright permission?
