My Edelbrock Slingshot, and my original Thickstun PM-7.

It appears my Slingshot is a rare no-name version made before the block letter models.

I've been collecting neat stuff for years. Mostly engine parts for Chevy V8's. I got most of it from people who couldn't pay for all of thier bill when I built them an engine, So I would usually take the leftover parts to settle up. I guess one of my favorites is the '67 427 tri-power intake and carbs. Its scheduled to go on a 427 that will power my '32 5w. I've got a new Doug Nash 5spd. and a new Frankland Quickchange waiting for the same car. After owning the '32 for 25+ years I'm hoping to start on it after I get my wifes '40 coupe done. What do you think, will I live long enough to go through the gears with my foot buried in the throttle? I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

  8. My blown, injected 426 Hemi....
ok, it's not actually blown and technically it's not injected either......and, for the record, it's not a 426. It's a 331 but I'm hoping to find 354 pistons in it when I yank the heads.
It was in an old black 38 ford stock car racer, "back in the day"..

    Favorite speed part?

I guess this is a mix of old and new... its a Moon tri-power injection setup. Tri power intake manifold w/ throttle bodies that are cast in Stromberg molds, with the injectors hidden inside the float bowls of the "carbs". If ya look close you can tell its EFI, but it looks a lot like tri-power. Also makes WAY more torque then the old 4-barrel did.

Not really speed equipment, but my Nicson rocker cover for the Chevy 6 is it.

Or maybe the 3 Nicson side covers? [IMG]

Only kidding, I only have the rocker cover.
But I wish I could say about the side cover.

Some of my favorite pieces of speed equipment are my Grancor heads and my first-generation (pre-PM7) Thickstun intake for '48 flatty, and the 59Z block to put them on. Then they can roll on some of my smoothie Halibrands.

My favorite though is anti-speed equipment. My Kinmont brakes.

  22. not really speed equipment, but I got a pair of OLD homemade
red painted angle cut Velocity stacks....with vintage MOON
and Clay Smith water release decals on them, soldered in screens, they fit 94's and 97's. They are sicko. I wish I knew the history of these...cooler than any new ones I've ever seen. Also got One original Cast aluminum finned velocity stack just like the one's on the Elvis Presley black roadster from his movie.

Speaking on my dad's behalf, he would say that it would be the set of 9 fin corvette valve covers he has. For me, it would be the original dual quad manifold for a 427 medium riser FE.

Handmade 3x1 intake manifold for a Ford 300 six. Got it from the machinist that made it. Very cool.
