Some of you guys on here have some serious jobs going on, I never realized the HAMB was this diversified. I fell into the job my family says I was born to do, I sell alcohol and wine for a major distibutor. in street terms, I'm a liquor PIMP. When my two brothers were going off to ROTC, I was going off to rehab (still got Betty Ford on speed dial) LOL. They wanted to march in unison, I wanted to party with girls with no morals. They wanted to make things go bang, I was wanting a beer bong. Now I'm married to a wonderful woman and have all the free booze I could ever want and drink less then I ever have in my life. Funny how life turns out. Nik

Recently changed from Quality Control in a pipeline fabrication shop to Inventory Control. Same company for 10 1/2 years, 6 job changes during that time. It never gets boring this way.
Firefighter here. I'm actually the guy that drives, so technically I'm an engineer in my particular field. Work p/t selling auto parts too, just cuz I have ALOT of time off. I work 10 days a month for the F/D and it's considered full time.
You've probably dealt with some equipment built by the company I work for. We've done a lot of work for El Paso, including ultrasonic meter skids, GC buildings, etc.
Aircraft Machinist. I Make propellers and components In a small town called Piqua, Ohio........ Spoons
I work as a Self-Employed Computer Consultant. Mostly Developing MS Access Database Applications for Legal/Medical/Service Industries, and Others. I have been doing this for 12 or so years. Prior to that, I grew up in a body shop, then owned 1 in Medford, MA and another in Seabrook NH, which explains my love of anything auto related. I love reading the H.A.M.B.!!! AB
I design hydraulic manifolds. How about you?[/QUOTE] i design and fabricate any thing you might need out of aluminum mostly ornamential www.expertwelding.net
I started out in construction, moslty concrete work and epoxy flooring. (wait til I get my garage built, I'll have to post flooring pics). Then I joined the Army to drive tanks (48s, 60s, and M1s) and blow shit up. Next I switched to sneaking around setting up ground surveillance radars and sensors. Not much of a market for either skill set in the civillian sector, so I switched to Medical and laboratory equipment repair. That led to a job in BioTech where I was hired to maintain the equipment and clean-rooms for a group working on a gene therapy for "Hemophilia A" (a severe bleeding disorder). I ended up working with another group to design and build a bio-fermentation process for another genetic disorder. They needed someone with CAD skills so they sent me for AutoCAD training at Consulting for Architects in Boston. Then the day we got the process running they laid most of us off... Best thing that ever happened to me! I took a summer off to collect and ended up at my current gig where I've been helping build and run an enormous Protein Bio-Fementation plant. I still end up doing some CAD work especially process flow mapping, but I'm stuck using VISIO. F#*K Visio!
I'm an accountant but, in my previous life, I worked for A & E firms doing structural concrete, steel and some wood design... for most A & E stands for Architects and Engineers but form some like me it stands for Assholes and Elbows - Assholes make the problems and Elbows get the work done. I'll will admit when I was younger, I designed a few things that couldn't be built. Now after going back to school I'm an accountant for mid-size firm, now the big push is the month of April rather than every friday. I got tired of pushing real hard for pompous asses who revel in spending the clients money on a monument to their existence. Oh ask me about the $65000 wall to hide a dumpster. s.
I work for one of the big three drawing (more like exporting cad models and reassembling them) engine manuals. They use them on the assembly line to properly assemble the engines (torque specs, fluids, etc..)

I get paid real good to sit on my fat ass at 35,000 feet while I read the newspaper and get served hot coffee all day long by cute chicks and listen to 267 dick heads whine and complain about the shitty food on the plane and the bumpy ride with no pillow or blanket all for a measly 99 dollar fair that they got on Priceline.com. Then I go to fancy hotel and eat a nice juicy steak and drink few pints of beer in da bar until I get thrown out and go to my room and read ol' school RODZ magazine, konk out and get up around noon and do it all over again!
