Hi guys, I need some input, please. I have a 32 coupe, and am putting full fenders(stock size), I want the car to really set down, and of course do not want the tires to hang out in back. I also want a little rake....the rear is 57” wide. I also want to try and fill look in fender well. So I have check and “outside” have almost 4”........inset, I have quite a bit and leaning toward 15 X 7....but the wheel I am going to run...(Vintique wire) it is only offered in 15 X 7 with 3&1/2” back spacing....so thinking maybe 16 X 7 with 4” backing spacing???? So what do you guys think and hat are y’all running....tire size also....pretty much figured out front, so just rear? Thanks Jim

These are just my thoughts.........I think you're going to have to put the fenders on the car, in essence, mock it up, before you can begin to get accurate measurements regarding wheel and tire sizes. There are a lot of things to consider here, backspace, offset, suspension travel and more to get a feel for what will work. Here's a chart from an older Wheel Vintiques catalog that may help. 07192017.jpg

This can be a real minefield. You need to be aware that backspace is what is shown as B on Don's drawing but the width of the wheel is between the bead surface as shown by F. It is mostly 1/2 inch to the edge of the rim shown as E. So when you work out offset you need to take this into account. You may already know this but thought I would point it out in case. But basically a 4" backspace on a 7" rim is 0 offset not 31/2 inches as some think.
