   Wheel bearings used to get packed whenever brake service was done ( 10-20k miles) . I'd say 25k miles is about right AFA the bearings are concerned .

   In the .mil we were required to inspect and repack them every 6 months on aircraft. Nobody wanted to fill the hub there either. Usually just coat the inside.
