Wheel Bearing number Q

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by C9, May 22, 2009.

  1. I'm running re-pro 37-41 Ford spindles and they take the standard Ford wheel bearing size.

I'm wondering if the 46 Fords use the same wheel bearing?

Curiosity mostly, but my pal runs a 3" dropped axle 46 with Camaro disc brakes up front and it would be nice if my bearings fit his spindles.

    Just in case, ya know?:D

The Ford inner bearings dont fit the camaro hubs, thats why they use spacers.

28 to 48 as I recall all use the same inner and outer.

  4. Thanks guys.

    A couple of good answers.

Which means, one pal - with roadster and 46 Ford drum brakes can borrow my spare and maybe my pal with the 46 can use one of the bearings.

Which - Choppintops - I'm translating as, an inner bearing with different part number
from a Ford inner is used with a spacer to be able to use the Camaro brakes on the Ford spindle.
