im sure i would drive away with that someday and shatter the rotor. plus i dont think i want to crawl under the car to put a lock on the rotor. i guess it is a fact of life. ever since there was cars they have been stolen.to get any car stolen sucks. i guess all you can do is insure the hell out of it. if it gets stolen the love hard work is gone but at least youll recoupe some money.

Had it installed on a couple of vehicles. Doesn't help alot to have it, if you don't get the early warning option.

They sell affordable little GPS trackers about the size of a credit card for watching your kids these days, the company charges you each time you check where they are. You go online and can see exactly where they are. Buy one and put it in whatever car you're driving and you'll know exactly where it is.

I just tell "Buster" to keep an eye on things and I will give him a nice fat rat for breakfast!

I used one of those (got it from Norm Rapp's Race Cars in So. S.F.) on my '27 roadster.

Absolutely correct on carrying it into the restaurant! Took it into Jimmy Ying's in San Jose Chinatown. Talk about a conversation piece!
My girlfriend at the time sewed me up a nice carrying pouch for it. She had become un-nerved with the slinky Chinese girls with the slit skirts wanting a ride in the "No steer car"

I have one of those boots on my enclosed trailer whenever it's parked, the trailer shop told me it's the best way to keep your trailer from dissappearing. Last weekend they drilled the door locks and broke into it but at least the trailer was still there.

Having a boot around lends itself to some good pratical jokes on your buddies BTW. Particularly if you print up some bogas "parking violation" sticker to put on the door window while your at it!

I saw one of those on a 1923 Dodge at the car show this weekend. Thanks for posting the picks, since I obviously forgot my camera.

Haha, yep! I tried to find a picture of him either driving with it or using the jack hammer on it, but couldn't find a good one with a quick google search.

finding a way to lock all the brakes with a switch or something along these lines would work well. The problem is all the ideas being posted here and on thousands of other car enthusiast sites are going to be read and eventually end up in the wrong hands. I have had one of my cars stripped 20 feet from my bedroom. I had a 600 dollar alarm system with a keypad that alerted me specifically what part of the car was being tampered with. i had the motion sensor turned up so it would chirp if someone got within 5 feet from the car and they still managed to get almost all of my aftermarket parts. the only way to prevent this at shows is always have a crew member by your car, alternate watching. A low jack isnt a bad idea either. I do hope all the car thieves burn in hell and get stuck driving hondas for eternity!

The day I feel that I have to put a wheel boot on my rod at a car show, will probably the day that I put it up for sale.
Pretty much sucks all the fun out of having a Hot Rod.
