Wheel Cylinders ??

    Kanter sell's wheel cylinders for my car.
    they list them as..

    WHEEL CYLINDERS

    for American cars and trucks 1935-1980.

    My ? is are they the same for all years or what?
    if they are can't I just go to my local parts store and get some for a 80 chevy car or truck? any help would be great thanks [​IMG]

    Yes, I bought a set of brake cylinders for my 40 setup from Napa.

    are 50 and 51 the same I can get those here?

    They are the same for my 50 chevy truck. I would imagine the cars are the same.

    Pete joe, for a '40 Ford perhaps? What was the part # or subsequint car you used? I need a set for my '40 brakes for my wanna be A.

    I Have 40 brakes on my 37. Sorry, I can't tell you a part number. I have a great Napa man that can find anything I need in the books. And its not a girl*****.. Ryan [​IMG]
    (Sorry, inside joke) A good napa man can get you what you need though.

    Sukie..........Wheel cylinders are different.
    If your car is a 1950 chevy, the brakes are different.
    1950 was the last year for the HUCK brakes.

    In 1951 Chevy changed to the self energizing
    Bendix brakes. A much better system that is still
    used today and parts are at your auto store.

    One of the oldest tricks for the early Chevys was
    to swap out the entire units with 1951 thru 1954.
    You will need the backing plates, brakes shoes, cylinders
    harware, and drums. The spindles are the same, and so are the
    bearings.

    Its a bolt on big inprovement.
