Pete joe, for a '40 Ford perhaps? What was the part # or subsequint car you used? I need a set for my '40 brakes for my wanna be A. -Jesse
I Have 40 brakes on my 37. Sorry, I can't tell you a part number. I have a great Napa man that can find anything I need in the books. And its not a girl*****.. Ryan (Sorry, inside joke) A good napa man can get you what you need though.
Sukie..........Wheel cylinders are different. If your car is a 1950 chevy, the brakes are different. 1950 was the last year for the HUCK brakes. In 1951 Chevy changed to the self energizing Bendix brakes. A much better system that is still used today and parts are at your auto store. One of the oldest tricks for the early Chevys was to swap out the entire units with 1951 thru 1954. You will need the backing plates, brakes shoes, cylinders harware, and drums. The spindles are the same, and so are the bearings. Its a bolt on big inprovement. ---------------------------------------------------------- "OPOSSUM BENDERS" Central Missouri Chapter
