I've put a 76' Maverick rear in my 53' ford, now the center wheel hole/flange doesn't fit over the end of the axle. I want to keep the stock wheels so I need a solution. Should I machine the hole on the wheel bigger? Machine the axles down to accommodate the hole on the wheel? Use spacers? Find different wheels? I'm sure plenty of people here have run into this. Any suggestions?
With a big enough lathe, its only a 5 minute job and easy to do. Even check your local high schools auto shop, they might do it.
