My Dad's cousin gave me a couple of wheels that were in his s**** pile. Any ideas on what this might be off of? Thanks for lookin! -Karl
That is a Model A wheel, either 21" or 19" cut down to a 16" wheel because tires where cheaper and more readily available back in the day.
Yes, Mike Hamel is right. We see them all the time in the Mid West and commonly were used on farm wagons, hay trailers, and etc.
I forgot to mention these look like they are 17.5 inches in diameter. Would the center be correct for a mid - 30's ford? I was thinking that the center of model a wheels were smaller in diameter. Knowing the guy, this was probably used for a wagon application.. -Karl
The lug nut area on 32-35 wheels is inside the center hub area, not on the outside like the wheel in the picture.
No, they are 16" wheels. yield that 1.5" in diameter when measuring any old wheel. A model A wheel were wither 19" or if you measured from lip to lip it would be 20.5" and then there was a 21" wheel that would measure 22.5" from lip to lip. These where just model a wheels cut down to fit in 16" hoops.
