They are Cragar G/T. Usually the spoke area is semi flat black. Instead of the S/S caps they say G/T and have red paint not blue. Mid 1960's to 1970's
Steel outer rim, mostly hidden except for the very edge peeks out. Most of them were 14" but the few 15" are sought after by a few weirdos (me too). Only available in 6" wide. Seems a majority are 4.5" bolt pattern, but can be found in 4.75" or 5".
these are 4 3/4 14 inch , no curb rash and look to be corrosion free..ill get better pics post them for sale..any idea on value ? ..thanks
View attachment 5449816 Pictures are from a 1968 Honest Charlie's catalog. Being 14", they may be a hard sell. Around here they would bring between $450 and $600 for the set with center caps. Repop caps can be found on eBay, for around $100. Original caps are really hard to find. 15" are more desirable and bring more money. I have a set of 14" for my '55. They are one of my favorite wheel styles.
Thanks for the info..put em for sale in the cl***ifieds...might keep them...not sure...saw the caps on Ebay....they are mjust cool looking and the manufacturing process is different than anything ive ever seen....
Have a 15 inch pair that are similar, Cragar Grand Prix, there caps screw on like E.T.s Would the Value be about the same ? I think they would look really cool with 8 inch pie crust slicks on.
I would think these have a higher value. Being 15" and Gran Prix they should fetch $800 to $1000 for a set of 4. For what it's worth, I saw a nice 15" set of Cragar s/s bring $1200 with tires, and a Lot of 6 decent Cragar s/s 15"x7 bring $1000 with tires, this past week.
