I just got a 55 Plymouth Belvedere and want to replace the standard (5-1/2 inch?) wheels with something wider. Any info on what tire and wheel combo will fit the tight confines? I'm not necessarily looking for steamrollers in the back, just something to fill the space without grinding.

anything from ford, amc, mopar jeep, ford or mopar police wheels. just be aware the backspace is like 4 inches max, bolt pattern is 5 x 4 1/2. Carefull removing wheels if lug bolts they might be lefthanded on one sided, thay will have an L molded in the head. You may need to drill a locating hole for the alognment pin or knock the pin off.
