My front spindles are 54 chevy, and the centers on the wheels I want to run wont clear the dust cap and spindles. I need about an inch. Are the wheel adapters safe to run, or do I need to run a different rim setup?

Rims are cheap, spacers arent. Safe? they have been using them for more than 30 years.

  3. the widest commonly available spacers i have seen are 1/2 inch

going over that is loading the studs way too much for a rear drive wheel application, and likely not too good of a fix on a steer application either...

without the center mount support you would be asking the studs to do all the work of centering and retaining the wheel...

i say go with a different wheel.
