I want to convert my 51 desoto drums to wheel studs instead of lug bolts any one know what size studs to get and where to get them also i want them to be a little longer i am going to run some different wheels that require spacers any help would be great thanks

  2. why not use allen head bolts that thread into the exsisting holes. the hub is already threaded, right? most mopars are half inch.

If you need spacers, just buy a set of bolt pattern adapters, bolt them to your hubs with your original wheel bolts, and then you'll have studs to bolt your wheels onto without having to touch the drums. It'll be much safer than wheel spacers with long studs (those are a big no-no) and it'll mean you can avoid taking off the rear drums which is a huge pain in the ass.

  4. What Squablow said will work better because the Desoto's with lug bolts use left hand threads on the left side. I changed to studs on my 55 Dodge pu. I had to rethread the left drums to put the bolts in. I used 1/2x2 grade 8 hex bolts without a problem. When the bolts were in I tack welded them to the hub.
