I recieved a couple PM's to my want add and I thank you, but I have a couple of things I need to find out about that are stumping me. My front tires that I have for my A sedan are 670-15 with a 4.5" tread width. Should I run a 4 or 5" wide rim with this tire? Next question. In the rear I would like to have either 820 or 890-15's and they have a 5" tread width. What width rim should this tire be run on 5 or6"? The car will not have any fenders,so the only problem I might have is that the rearend is not really wide enough. With a 6" rim(46 ford) that has a 4" back spacing the tire rubs the side of the body. Thanks for the help....Mike
I've always heard to run the same width rim as the tread width and vice-versa. Or at least close. 4.5" tread on a 4.5" rim etc. That way the sidewall gets the nicest looking bulge and works the best too With a 8.90 you probably want a 6" but a 8.00 or 8.20 a 5" would probably do. If the rim/tire hits the body reverse the rim on the center.
I put my 5.90 fronts on a 5" rim, and my 8.20 rears on a 6" rim. They ride great, and look perfect. Just my 2 cents. -Joe
Sorry, I can't concentrate on anything you wrote... Its something about a woman rubbing her boobs doing that to me.
