  1. I wonder how that applies when dealing with a mail order company from another state

    You are kidding right?

You buy the wheels you are going to run, so you don't have to repeat shit when the used ones are different and don't quite fit the same.

Plus why the hell would I buy an extra set of wheels? I have enough issues with space in the garage as it is.

As for the time frame, sorry I did not finish my project as fast as you....I still stand by my statement that I should never have to check a new set of wheels for runout, bad manufacturing and then shitty quality controls are not my problem.

When we raced on dirt tracks in the 70s, there were two guys who came to the tracks and sold tires and wheels. They would build wheels in a trailer right at the tracks. They had rims in several widths and any center you could want. They had a jig to hold the rim and center that could be set at any offset a customer wanted. They would weld the center in, balance the wheel on a bubble balancer and mount a tire on it in under 20 minutes. I saw them make a set of 4 in under an hour.

If a guy could do that out of a trailer, a factory in the business of making wheels should have many jigs and be able to turn out many wheels in a day.
