wheels 17's

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by choprods, May 2, 2004.

  1. Is there such a thing as a solid steely type wheel in a narrow 17"that fits the 5 on 5-1/2" early ford pattern? [IMG]
If so is there any that would take the stock ford caps from say a 40-48?[while I'm wishing] [IMG]

The only thing I have been able to find sofar is an aftermarket 7X17 wheel that I would have to cut down.
The reason I want to go an Inch bigger in diameter is that I am trying to fit a set of very large finned aluminum drums on my Roadster, and they will not fit a 16" Ford wheel with out cutting the fins down a little.
Those wheels I found will not give me any extra space around the drum because they use the Ford diameter center and a deeper shape in the hoop to get the bigger wheel.
The guy I talked to was really nice, he took his time and tried to help me find a sollution.
I think his name is Sonny Mac, but I would have to look it up.

  3. Sonny Mac advertises them. I sell WHeel Vintiques, they offer one, Stockton can make em.......................

Tman, are the ones you sell made the same way?
Or is the center bigger on those?
    That could solve my problem...
I could probably find some extra space by going to 16" PS Engineering wheels, but it is hard for me to make myself spend that much money on something NEW...
( As nice as they are...)

  5. I will have to check when I go in tomorrow. I will post my findings.
