I like the paint. If it was me I'd get some painted wheels, maybe med gray with possibly a single or double thin purple strip, trim rings and small hub caps. Leave the wide whites and the rest is bitch'in!!!!!!!!!

Both of those cars would benefit if you simply switched the wheels. The raiders would look killer against the purple paint and the Chrome steelies would compliment the gold on the 5 window. Problem solved and both cars improved for no money.

Nice cars you have there. A little to much bling in the wheel dept for me though. I'd lose the caps on the roadster along with the WWs. Lose the shift knob and white switches.

The coupe looks great but also needs to be toned down in the wheel dept. Steelies would look better IMHO.

  4. I like the roadster the way it is. What about the wider Red wall tires? Might look cool or red pinstripes.
    Beautiful cars thou. I'm jealous

It's your car and you're the only one who needs to like it. Personaly I like it just the way it is.

I'm not a fan of purple but I like that roadster. The color DEMANDS the wide whites for contrast. I'm not crazy about the wheels/caps on the rstr, and frankly the wheels on the 5W would indeed "finish" the car's persona given the color and amount of 60s influences already involved. The Radir/WW deal would give it a show rod vibe. The purple used is already moving the 1st thoughts in that direction. Well, my 1st thoughts at least. The 5W? Other than it's somewhat silly to have the same wheel/tire on 2 cars, what you picked for it really works. That said, bias ply black walls and OEM style chrome reverse wheels would make the 5W look "meaner", more business like. The pipes help that too, and even the showy color isn't too far away from a more hardcore vibe. It's early and I only have a 1/2 cup of coffee in me, but those were my 1st instincts. Then again, I'd rather have YOUR conflict than the ones I have. Just sayin...

Well, it's been a while, I'm sure he got it the way he wanted it.

  10. Byron,

I know this is an old thread that came up, I missed it the first time. Lots of opinions here as you would expect, what did you end up doing? It is definitely a nicely built car, I agree with some of your initial comments from your friends. I know what I would do, but it is not my car so my opinion is worthless. Since I am not living down the expressway from you anymore, I cant just jump in my car and motor over to see what you have been up to! : )
Do you have any updated pics?
