so when did red wheels become traditonal? I look at a lot of old pictures and I don't see red wheels .when people look back 50 years at us and they see 24'' wheels on a donk . will they think thats how we did it? sorry (I hate red wheels) they look good on very few cars IMO.

Cream. Red and green are gonna look like Christmas. Or how about gold.

An autographed (autograph simulated) picture (or a photcopy) of Caddzilla with different wheels on each side cause as BFG said, you can't see both sides at the same time.

Many cars "back in the day" ran red wheels; it was a common color. One example (just flipping through some old magazines of mine) is Bob McCoy's famous flamed '40 Ford 2 dr sedan, featured in Hot Rod magazine in 1957 and making the cover of the Hot Rod Annual in 1958. McCoy's '40 was BLACK with RED wheels! Can you believe it? Maybe you should write him a letter and tell him red wheels are not traditional!

Just flipped through the book "The Birth of Hotrodding: The Story of the Dry Lakes Era." Guess what, lots of red wheels! Red wheels on red cars, red wheels on black cars, red wheels on white cars, red wheels on green cars, red wheels on beige cars... Oh well, I guess all those early hot rodders in the '40s and '50s didn't get the memo from you stating that red wheels were all wrong.

Of red or cream...I blindly say cream. But that's only if it is blackwall tires, bias-ply of course. I would go red but would prefer it more of a "brick" color over a "fire engine" red.

If a whitewall is going to be used I would go the same color green or a black.

Is this the Vicky or Roadster? Upload the pics to your album and post them here from there.
