what years/model did ford use a 15" narrow wheel in a 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern? Do those wheels have the "nubs" inside for the hub cap or outside "nubs" for pop on caps?

'48 Mercury intro'd 15" wheels of the style you describe. Lincolns of the late 40's also, but not past '48. Ford used 16". Ford pickups in the 50's used the 15" with "nubs". I don't recall accurately when that ceased, but it was sometime in the early to mid 60's. Widths may vary over that time, the earlier the year, the narrower the wheel is a general guide.

    Thanks..
I have 16's on the front now and 15's on the rear. I want to get the front down to 15's but I need them to be 4 or 4.5 wide. I will move the 16's to the rear to drop the front down some.
