Is there any updates on it? Is it you with the buzz cut/crew cut?
It's so cool you found your father's old car

    Y
Yeah, me too. Think I'll shoot the top white this summer.

  3. I collected pieces for it for a year or two. I have them stashed, and the body is in a barn now in an undisclosed location ( LOL). Right now I need a driver so it is on the back burner until I get something other then my bike on the road.

Awesome stories! I shoveled horse***** for my dad for a whole summer when I was 12 for the $500 to buy a 1951 Chevy 4 door out a an old lady's barn back in '94. With the help of my older brother and dad, we got it running and drivable by the time I got my learners permit. However, right before my 16th birthday in '98, I traded it to my brother for a much more daily-able 64 Biscayne. My brother ended up selling it a few years later, it swapped hands several times and I lost track of it for about 10 years. Around 2007, a good friend was a bar tender at a local hometown dive and was talking to one of his customers about old cars. The guy mentioned he had this clapped out 4 door 51 Chevy he wanted to sell cheap. My buddy checked it out a couple days later and realized it was my old car. He shot the guy a far offer on it and drug it to his shop. The next time I was in town, he told me to swing by and check out his new project he drug home. I was blow away when I walked in and there was my sweet old girl(though she had seen much better days). My buddy walked over and handed me the****le(which was still in my name!) and said Merry Christmas! I'm slowly going to transform her into the full kustom I originally wanted to when I was 12. Don't have any before pix on this computer, but here's how she currently sits, safe and sound in my garage. [IMG]Hosted on Fotki

  6. There actually is a C-10 here in Missouri that I have owned at least 6 times since I was in high school. The wife and I put it together with a 283 4 speed, in Oregon. Sold it to a friend when we moved back here our senior year, he came back the summer after graduation and ran out of money so we made sure that he had bus fare and snack money (which was all he wanted) and sent him home at the end of summer. Last time I owned it was in the early '90s, it was blue that time around and had a small block in it of unknown pedigree, still had the 4 gear in it though.
