Hot Rods When did Hurst start making floor shifters

    If I have them apart, I coat the inside pieces. To grease them ***embled, I use a little hose with a basketball pump needle on it, hooked to a grease gun.

    Fourteen years ago a guy on the hotrodder forum asked about a floor shifter for a 1950 Chev. He got the following reply:

    haven't seen one in years, the old Almquist shifter is what you want, how about one of the "universal" three speed pickup truck shifters i see at some of the auto parts stores, or J.C.Whitney? cheepies but i think thats all that you will be able to find
