That is just WRONG!! How in hell do you see over/around that thing? Think he's got enough plenum volume?
That looks absolutely*****in rediculous!!!! I wonder how much of that***** is functional. Why do people think the more stuff that you pile onto the top of an engine, the better it looks??? Someone really needs to educate that goldchainer!
Shit. That's rad! The paint is wrong, but I dig that cartoon car look. It's fun That*****er needs to be all bass boated out in flake and big chunky lettering. Then it'd give the PPE a run for its money.
yo speedly .. he was not a goldchainer .. check him out in the pic he is in black just in case you can't see
Actually, I was just telling a few of my friends that I'd like to build something like that.... I was thinkin like a 34 5 window. For "go", I thought a blown injected Hemi out of like a pro mod car or something (with the big blower restraints and everything!) would be just about perfect. I think when you have a vehicle with higher HP number than weight number, you'll have fun!!! (I was thinkin' 2000 HP in about an 1800 lb car!)
Yes it appeared that everything was functional.. I OVERHEARD That DUDE TALKIN ABOUT HIS CAR AT NATS EAST.. and He "claimed" it should run high 7's or low 8's AND later in the day i HAD THE pleasure to hear this Machine RUN.. (presumeably to the trailer) IN my opinion. I have honestly heard briggs and stratton 5 hps that sounded better.. and the pleneums on top of pleneums made it apparent that the goal was to build a motor and intake that was as tall as possible.. I think he achieved that.. however, I really want to see the fool try to run this car.. I would love to meet a GOOD nhra tech inspector who would let this thing run.. I would wait with anticipation to see the rear tires "grow" off the line and tear the hell out of the rear fenderwells. dont get me wrong.. theres a PILE of engineering goin on here.. the car had a stainless steel roll cage, a POLISHED stainless floor and LOTS of trick brackets everywhere.. I hated the paint, but to each their own.... it was the obvious that the Goal of this machine was ONLY to turn heads and i think the owner succeeded.
When he said it should run 7's or 8's, was he holding a crack pipe? Or was he referring to his 60 ft times? What an idiot.
Your Question is: When is your motor too much? My Answer: When you have to take a 2nd mortgage out on your home to pay the fuel cost.
