What the heck is that thing with the crazy floormats and seats, has seatbelts too. The dash and shifter kinda looks like Ford but not the radio or the way the doors wrap into the roof. Chrome inside could suggest some kind of a glass top but everything is just weird!

1954 Chicago Auto Show. Inside the Hudson exhibit on the show floor, Chicago Mayor Martin H. Kennelly poses with female model and the aluminum-bodied Hudson Italia coupe. Designed by Carrozzeria Touring, in Milan, Italy, the Italia was powered by a 114 horsepower Hudson Jet engine, and built on a 105 inch wheelbase. Doors were recessed 14 inches into the roof line, and interior featured leather upholstery. Only 26 Italias were produced.

My mother worked at the lunch counter of the Thrift’s Drug Store in Glendale Ca. in 1937 when her future husband came for lunch on a Saturday (he worked at the Western Auto in the repair shop). He asked her if she wanted to go to the midget car races in Southgate and she said yes….. The rest is history as they say…

My mother sent this to me not too long ago. My great grandmother and my great aunt are in this photo (two ladies in the middle). The man on the left owned the 55 Ford and was the pastor of the local church. This was somewhere in Surry County, North Carolina.

That wedding pic with the '57 Ford....I don't think that I have ever seen that pattern of side trim before. Is that a Canadian Ford?

That is the first police car that I have ever seen where the department paid extra for the factory front accessory grille guard. Looks like this one also had the accessory rear deck guard. I guess they figured that the larger guards would be useful in pushing stalled cars off the roadway but they weren't much use vs. that light pole!

Kind of an earlier version of the push bars on the late model Crown Vic police cars.
My son currently drives a Taurus police car, I remember a lot of concern when Ford dropped the Crown Vic, nobody wanted a front wheel drive pursuit car. He said now all of the new units are Explorers.

I wonder if any of those "innocent bystanders" had anything to do with the damage.
