Excellent score! My borrowed Auto-zone steering wheel puller worked fine. So I probably went in,returned it and left without noticing any cool guys pulling into the parking lot. This sounds like a relationship to savor, free stuff or not.

  2. Using my High School Spanish I helped a Hispanic lady get a headlight for her Explorer at A/Z a week or so ago.
Yesterday her husband came up to me at Wal-Mart and thanked me.

    De nada!

thanks for sharing, thats the best!. Story of my own. My dad was at a local cruise this past summer and talked to this guy with a g***er 58 olds. they talk for a little bit and my dad being in a rush goes on his merry way. The next week my dad introduces his friend to the guy with the olds(wants to ask some questions) who ends up shooting the **** for a little longer and tells him how he has a g***er 55 chevy and wants to find a 58 olds rearend. (hes highly agains tford 9" 's personal preference) and the dude with the olds ends up giving my dads buddy a 58 olds rear end with two center sections for FREE??? what are the odds!?

anyways love these types of stories! make sure you post pics of the 50 with the olds grille!

    thanks for sharing

Of course! However, his response was "I don't do the interwebs.", paraphrased.

Great story! If that happened to me, I gaurantee that the guy would have turned out to be a ****** and had his way with me, then stolen my car and taken my lunch money!

You people are lucky bastages!! :)

I honestly thought about that as I was following him home, pondered it for about a minute or two, then decided "What the hell, at least I'll die looking at a cool car."

The local Autozone that I frequent has two very knowledgeable older guys working at the front desk. They've helped me a lot over the last couple of months.

The two other Autozone's in town... I try to stay away from if you know what I mean...

Awesome story...I like stoppin by the old school roundy round speed shop here in town...I dont usually buy much as I dont have a race car....just brackets and universal stuff and the occasional brake fitting.

THe real reason I stop in there is to shoot the **** with the guys...I usually leave a minimun of an hour and a half of on-station time prior to departure....I love it there.

Another old guy note....the quote bout "the interweb"....I hadda chuckle bout that. My pops just got a computer after not having one for 7-8 years...I sent him to the HAMB....he is in awe of the site and all the coolness contained therein...

He's still lurking....been trying to talk him into signin up...

Common pops.....sign up and go do your intro!

Great story, it's always fun to talk with the ol' timers like that, and free parts don't hurt either.
