I hope you have already explained that the internet and TV are not a true social barometer. I also hope that you have taught her that when something is mentioned, context is important. In this case, a movie was being discussed and was quoted. The fact that you were unaware of the context and spoke out did not make your point intelligent, it made you seem at best naive. O.K.!!! So I stepped in it, SORRY. Thought it was a "response", had no idea it was a "quote". Always worked evening/nights, never got out to see "movies", I still don't. My days off were in the garage, or at the drag strip, did'nt see a whole lot of TV either, but like Emily Latilla used to say "NEVER MIND" (from SNL years ago, was about the ONLY TV I watched). But, I still believe in "some" old fashioned values. I'm not a goodie-two-shoes (whatever that really is), not a church going bible beating zealot, but not a lemming either. And to the offended truck driver, I actually thought about going to truck driving school after I retired from 36 years in healthcare-X Ray tech, still may. To the one with the comment about my 56', I've had 9 of them (one I owned twice), this one is the last, I'm 57 for crying out loud! This is a good site, with alot of good people, and a few I'll simply refer to as rectal prolapses, everyone knows who you are. And, a final comment, from an Eagles song, "GET OVER IT". Nuff said.
