Ok stupid question here. I was going back through my build thread looking for a couple old pictures and noticed that a good chunk of my old pictures have disapeared. I do know that its only happening with the pictures I hosted through facebook. I guess I'll go back to attaching them to the post. It just takes so much longer and I hate loading the pics on my PC since I take most of them with my phone (I know I'm sorry). On the plus side I guess I can stop using facebook so damn much! Plus I need to start re-sizing my pics as well (sorry for that).

    Thanks in advance!

How old is the thread and pictures ?

Ryan a while back had to purge a lot of old stuff to clean things up.

The pictures that have been going away (turning into little white boxes with red X's) are from late 2011 and early 2012. Maybe the size was too big. Is there a way to go back and replace them with smaller ones? I've never tried to add a photo with the edit function.

If the pictures were hosted on Facebook's servers they may have purged them to make space for more recent images. I'm not on FB so I have no idea how they do things over there. You might read their Terms Of Service and see if it specifies their policy on image hosting.

Did you move your pictures into a new "album" or rename them on FB? If so that would have broken the links to the images on the HAMB.

Do yourself and everybody else a favor and resize you pics before uploading them for web display. They seldom need to be any bigger than 800 x 600 pixels.

Cool thanks I'll start doing some research before I go posting too much more. I've also found that the app on my phone makes it pretty easy to keep track of my sizing!

I never thought about there being a phone app to downsize photos. Good idea though, wish more folks would do that.

You might also consider opening a free Photobucket account for hosting pictures to post here and on other forums.
