We bought our '40 Coupe in 2005 as an older restoration and have been updating her to this point.

  7. Hi, my name is Ralph, and I'm a new member, but I've been reading posts here for years.
Anyway, cutting to the chase. Although I live in Pennsy now for the past 30 years, I was raised in South Plainfield N.J. where the car below came from originally. And my question is, do any of you have any action or still Drag Race shots of the old '40 Chevy Coupe named Mr. Irish....?

Later carnation- before it was sold...these pix came from this forum

FYI- I plan on building a model of this car, and need as many pix from all angles as possible, thanks. ~Ralph

Almost 3 year old thread but, The wife and I just picked up a real nice chevy coupe. Small block chevy, turbo 350, 10 bolt, Corvair front end, Black lacquer, Brown/Caramel tuck and roll, Chrome window trim, laminated tinted gl***, I had to lower the back with blocks to get it level, added some chrome reversed wheels and a '56 steering wheel in place of a billet wheel. Here is where i'm at with it today. and last picture is the wife driving it before I lowered the back. the car drives easy and everything operates, speedo, gauges, heater, horn, blinkers, neutral safety switch, and cowl vent. Super cool car for the first week of owning it.
