hi all i posted up a question asking about the where to find the numbers on my 51 chev and got some replys sayin in the door jam i have not had any luck finding them but there is a plate on the fire wall says style number body number trim number is this all that should be on it or are there other numbers somwere ????
Serial tag on all US-built Chevrolets from '49-'57 is on the left A post. 49-54 are riveted, 55-57 seem to be glued. Sometimes they get painted over. If there's just two rivets or two holes, it's missing. Australia could have gotten cars built for Canada/export and have the tag in another location, you might check with the guys at www.chevytalk.org for possible alternate locations.
