When ever a "Famous" car turns up, and it happens once a month on the HAMB, I wonder if a Master List should be started. Someone with far more computer skills than I have could compile the info on the cars history, and additional facts could be added when they turn up. INDY 500 cars. Hot Rod feature cars, Dry Lakes cars from the 1940's etc. What are your toughts on the idea?

  2. A list of missing cars accompanied by photos would be good.

  3. That's a great idea. Make it a sticky.
Probably lots more info could be dug up on these cars with a thread like that.

Of course, modifying the subject line to read "WHERE are they now" instead of "WERE are then now" might help to find it later.

  5. Damn, were cars! I guess a bite infects anything!
All jokes aside, its a bloody good idea! A master list of both lost cars and a second for 'found' cars.
As this is an international site (Yes WE have famous (to us) cars too!) Maybe it could have sub catagorys broken down by country, ie. Hot Rod, Custom, Drag Car, Lakes car etc?
    Doc.

    Great idea!
Especially if all the "Great Find" stroking and opinions about the cars style can be kept off the thread. Just have the Who/What/Where info and current+past pics only.
Also, an "era" limit would be good. Nothing built past about 1980!

Title corrected, thanks to the spellong police. I'd make 1965 the cutoff date of the build if this list were to be put together.
