cool, yes I love the history of the sport for sure as I've been involved in it one way or another for most of my life. Pics of me in a stroller at Spokane raceway back in the 70's when it was an AHRA track.

Well, I'm retiring from the Army after 28 years in July. From there, I'll go back home to San Antonio and give my garage a complete re-do, and figure out what the order of merit list will be for the half a dozen or so project cars. Also plan to take the family to Hawaii for vacation; I was stationed there (Oahu) for 2 years but that was before I was married.

I'll be going to swap meets to sell all my car junk that is not a car and every tool that does not fit in my toolbox other than my welder so I can retire and move away from the Bay Area in a few years.

Another trip to Bonneville? I usually fly but this may be one last hurrah in the Bird this time. Long trip for this ole whiner. And of course, it's always a roll of the dice weather-wise. But still the best trip with cars in mind, I've ever had.

The wife's been bugging me to get out of the house and do something on my own. Thinking about packing up the camper and heading to Jefferson, Wisconsin. Does anyone know of any good campsites nearby?

  26. There really isn't anything real close. Probably be better off getting a swap spot and be part of the fun.
