I have a 1935 Ford Cabriolet and I've decided to have the floor replaced. Can someone tell me where I can get replacement pans. I want to replace the entire floor pan including the rumble seat. Thanks, Vic
I would start looking at the usual suspects. Carpenter/drake/mac's/early ford store...ohio Probably go to Early Ford first, my opinion. Tim ( they're called midwest early ford)
Have you looked at this ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1935-1936-F...es&hash=item3cea5b45b5&vxp=mtr#ht_3302wt_1035
Paul Bradley has the ability to make some very nice pieces too. The only problem I have found with his is the slow to lack of production and him being an absolute flake that won't return phone calls or e-mails. If you search his name , you find great reviews on great quality and stories of nightmares to recieve product after paying for it. I used a couple sets over 20 years ago and it took a few months to get them back then and the comunication was good. That doesn't seem to be the case any more as I gave up calling and leaving messages after a month of trying and even tried a few e-mails with no response.
Check out EMS for the panels. I am not sure but think the coupe panels should work, roadster and cabriolet are all the same I think
if you have some time to wait this is your best option http://bradleyfloorpans.com/ otherwise look at ems or any of the major dealers. coupe and roadster are the same pans.
Thanks for all of the replys, I've got some coming now from Absolute Sheet Metal (absolutesheetmetal.com) formerly BitchenProducts.
I'm still waiting for a reply from the multiple emails and phone messages about 3 - 4 months ago over that same period. How long should it take to get a reply ? I use to agree but not any more. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
unless you're doing a concourse quality restoration I'd move on. I've not personally used bradley panels, but they have an amazing reputation for being the best money can buy, but often a waiting period of a year or more. Personally I like EMS panelswhen they're available. My dad is using a set bought on ebay from a "no-name" supplier and they're good quality panels. his car had great subrails and just needed pans. some trimming and fine fitting required as you'd expect.
Call Bradley, talk to Marie. Tell her you want to place an order and have Paul call you back. He had the 35-36 front sections in stock, but it did take a couple of weeks to get them. He also knows ALOT about 35-36 Fords. He answers "Linkdn" (sp?) emails promptly. He REALLY needs to get one person to run his floorboard business, manufacturing AND shipping.
I made 4 phone calls and don't recall getting the name from the woman that answered the phone , but each time she took my number ,asked what I wanted - which I said I wanted '35-'36 floors and she said Paul would return the call at the end of the day each time. I also emailed to the contact info on his web site twice. I recieved no response for any of this. I moved on and purchased '40 floors which were a little shorter and visually different but much more correct looking than the pans that came with my car when I purchased it. Back in the early 80's I got 3 sets of Bradleys pans and used 2 and eventually sold the 3rd set to somebody needing a set. It took about 3-4 months to get them back then , but you new that because whoever handled the orders actually would comunicate back then. I have been told that it was his father handling things back then but don't know if that is true or not. I will agree they were great pans back then.
just call us, john picks up the phone fast, have parts in a few days. more new 35/6 parts just released on web site this week, and now smoothie running boards. the ems guy www.emsautomotive.com
