  3. I started out along time ago on here as Jokerhill, and back then we could change our names at will. So one day I posted a reply to a thread and the original poster came back and said I was Useless so I changed it to Useless as a joke and never changed it back. And now you can't change your name at will anymore, but I really don't care, I have been called much worse.

  4. My internet name came from my childhood car club establishing a web site just a few years ago celebrating our 30 years (1996-2006) and being completely new to the internet I chose it as a representation of pride in being one of the original six, 2 deceased, to carry on the pride of our friend who rallied the rest of us into a car club after watching "American Grafitti", our text for being gearheads. This June is 30 years since we lost our head instigator and we carry on in honor, what a long strange trip it's been.

When my Willys was first up and running, EVERYONE had less than complimentary comments about my choice of engines....big block Olds. Over a period of time, the car was nicknamed Booger.....always being picked on. More often than not, it was at nostalgia drag events......Boogeracng......no "i."

  8. when i joined i used the vswv8 name i'ld been using for 12 years everywhere on the net...Vega/Station/Wagon/v-8 motor..

.i fell in love with a topolino at the Edgewater drag strip when i was between 11 and 12th birthday....we pulled thru the pits and was setting next to one when it fired up...well it was the loudest, meanest thing i'ld ever heard...so when the car parked, i went thru the grove of trees and found it...watched them run it again and was tuning it....when it shut down, i asked the guy "what is it????" ya gotta remember i was almost 12....he looked at me and said>>>"It's a topolino, kid...a fiat AA/FA topolino..."40 years later mine falls out of the sky into my lap...wife looks at me when i had it in the garage the second day and says.."you're just like a kid with that topolino thing"....flash back 40 years....and ....Topolino Kid!!!!!!!!
it's been my dream to drive one ever since i watched that old AA/FA make a pass..jumping all over the track like it was wild ass mad...it just had a hard time figuring out which way the finish line was!!!!!!

  9. A friend gave me the nick name 10 years ago. My name is Paul and I cut off most of the little finger on my left hand in a tragic mishap ;) with an auger attachment on a skid steer, hence, Paulie9fingers.

  12. Well, pretty simple and you all would not approve but its because I started a company based around the Ford Probe which I built for road course racing. Bought it new stripped it down the same week and started building it. 13 years and 60k miles later I still have it and still love it - in fact I sold a year old like new Mustang Cobra to get it.

Since its was late in '96 I wasn't using the interwebs for much more than talking about cars/racing so that's the screen name I started with and that's what I still use - I guess for legacy reasons only.

Mizlplix was a troublemaking little piece of shit. He liked pulling complicated pranks on Superman. But, you had to trick him into saying his name backwards to make him go home. (Which is why I'm still here).

  15. My last name is Otto. Everyone calls me that as I do not go by my first name. What better word to add to that than "parts".

Mazooma was a term associated with and used by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. The word Mazooma was like saying "WOW" or "there it is", kind of like "Eureka!".
Ed was a big hero of mine, so I borrowed that term and added a "1" to it so as not to infringe upon the original term that was Ed's and always will be.
My avatar is a sweatshirt that Ed airbrushed for me on my 11th birthday in 1961. He even put my name on the front with spiders hangin off it!!!

Kustom - As I tend to collect all kinds of funky retro kitschy kulture type stuff. That and I can never leave any of my cars stock.
Karma - From the fact that I believe in what goes around comes around. That and I'm an Indian (from India) and a rural West Virginia mix (yeah my parents met in the 60's.)

Kustomkarma - is also a play on words taken from custom car.

Always wanted a 5 window Deuce. Right now, I've got a '31 A and,of course, they're "all" 5 windows but I already had the name in use.

My middle name initial + my brother's middle name.

    S. LeFain

Been using it for well over a decade online, so long that I get credit card offers in that name.

Back in Highschool, I drove a Vespa... So the guys called me VesPals.

several years later, I don't drive the Vespa anymore (shame on me!)
and became a proud Plymouth owner...

    voila: PlyPals

When I was drag racing in the 60s I painted cars and choppers for friends they named me The FOGGER. The only way I could afford race parts for my '55 Gasser.
