Where do you get your roller tires?

Just a simple question, like the title says! Got some 40 ford rims 16x4 and need some mock up tires, where's the best place to look to get some?

 

For just like slaves? Craigslist, or worn out ones from the local tire shop. I make it clear to them that they're going to be used as slaves only.

 

I was thinking about the tire shop but I thought most places didn't carry these skinny wheel size so i didn't think of checking them, but definitely gonna hit them up now. And yeah just as slaves nothing road worthy yet!

 

Ask your friends or the swap meet,,most tire shops are not going to have any 4x16 tires laying around.

Most of the time I just find something that has my wheel patter and use them until it's time to but the tires I intend to run. HRP

 

Older ford rangers are 16", I just picked up some roller tires from one of those guys that sell used tires on Craigslist . Good luck

 

Ask a restorer. They should have some crusty 16"s that they took off to put on some wide whites. Most tire places will have 16"s but they will be new style radials and prob too wide for what you want.

 

I got mine at the local swap meet. I wanted some fat-boys for the back and found a pair of old 16 inch agriculture tires [not over 25 MPH] used on farm implements and center-pivot irrigation setups. Cost 10 bucks for the pair.
