It would definitely be fun to watch. Google it, they had to outlaw drafting. After it's over they tear the winner down to measure ever engine part. No overdrives or rocky mountain brakes allowed.

    . . . down the coast to Tiajuana (sp?) . . .

We made two- and three-day trips below the border for years and have now decided it's too dangerous for us. We always had a great time and knew how and where to stay safely at wonderful places down the coast. We always were very conscious around the border crossing. Now, with over 600 murders a year there in town, we're sorry we can't chance it anymore.

1963 and I was on a Senior Sneak Trip to Colorado. (something small schools did as a reward for surviving high school) We went to Pikes Peak. You could book a ride to the top in a government green late model Chevy wagon with if my memory is good a 409/4 speed driven by a park ranger. Several of us did the trip which included some down shifting around corners, bursts of speed and just enough small slides to give this 18 year old a bit of a thrill. Worth every penny. Today with every body protecting us from ourselves a trip like that would be impossible.
