Maybe I'm just insulated from the CA scene out here on the East coast, but is it just me or does it feel like Cole Foster fell off the face of the earth? Dude was a star in the early 2000s, working with Jesse James on Discovery Channel bike build offs and dropping some of the most iconic traditional custom builds of the era with his blue 54 Chevy, Mike Ness' 54 Chevy, and Kirk Hammett's 36 Ford. Then there was no encore and I feel like we haven't really heard from him since. Is he OK? Still building cars? Anyone know?
He has built a bunch of cool cars and bikes since. Not really sure how your location can isolate you from a scene in this day and age. Follow his social media and you are in the loop.
Some of the really talented rod & bike builders like to keep a low media profile to keep their production going. A serious customer will find them. At today's hourly rates not much time to visit with tourists.
I'm glad to hear he's well and still in the game. I would have imagined after such high profile builds for celebrity clients, there would have been some cars that would have hit since then that would have kept him in the spotlight, but perhaps not. Seems he's racing and still working and more importantly, happy and healthy. Good for him. I always admired his work
A lot of truth to this. Some folks don't understand that while it's nice to visit shops, it's also a place of work and time spent with visitors is time spent away from billable work.
