Just so's when I win the lottery, I can build a monument on a hilltop in gold for it with armed guards and pit bulls surrounding it, or more realistically put it in Tacoma's LaMays Musuem
Thanks to both Moriarty and HRP for your quick response to my my silly question of this morning. Got to back off (wife failing), .................it happens, no need to comment (thanks for thoughts though. I understand, have I family around /close by. I used to build models years ago, still have unopened Monogram LC. Gonna give my old skills a try doing the old girl my way. Wire wheels, maybe black walls, large slicks. relocate the headlights (and a bit larger under the fenders.), and a blower it should have never been without!!
When did the Starbird collection get sold? I guess I missed that. Is Mr. Starbird still with us? I know his wife has passed. Around 2002 or2003 my wife and I toured the museum, Donna was there, Darryl was not, she was a very gracious lady and host. And the museum wasn’t bad either.
I understand that Mr. Starbird has some health issues. He lives not to far from me in southwest Missouri.
it was about 4 years ago that Darryl's museum was closed and everything sold to the speedway museum....
