I got my 1990 AOD transmission rebuilt and re-installed behind the EFI 302. Now I need a TV cable and cannot find one! The tranny and engine both came from the same 1990 Lincoln Mk VII donor car. I'm having one hell of a time even finding the cable. Can anybody point me to a supplier that has one?
If you're running a carburetor....Lokar Summit has them (and lots of other places as well) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LOK-KD2AODHT/
Be sure you keep the little cylindrical spacer thingamabob that comes with the kit. You'll need it to set the cable pressure.
also, be sure to get the correct carburetor TV cable connection bracket that gives just that little extra reach needed for proper shifting I think Summit Racing carries them also, phoenixtransmissionproducts.com
^^^^^ Absolutley, Get a pressure guage and don't loose the spacer gage that comes with the Lokar cable. Those 2 tools will make setting the Throttle Valve correctly, much simpler.
I just did this and Summit was my solution. Most folks only stock Chevy stuff. Fast service and good price. Good luck ~sololobo~
You could go Lokar but why dont you just go to salvage yard, make sure you get ALL the brackets, spacers and bolts, should be much cheaper than Lokar and you won't have to diddle with their little Allen set screws!
