I just purchased a 1956 F100 and the hood hinges were removed and placed in the cab. Does anyone know of a source online that sells the washers for the hood hinge base?

    Thanks,
    Zak.

Is there something special about them? I don't recall any thing about the 54 hinges that was!!!

The correct washers are serrated on one side so they don't slip in a slotted hole when tightened up. I too would like to find a source for them.

Two on each hinge also have one side cut off I believe.

I've looked at all those places. Maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing, but I'm not seeing them. Mid-fifty is where I ordered the rest of the hardware from.

  11. Try making a toll free phone call, all these places have people that know their products inside and out.

You might think about buying a service manual for your truck. HRP

Looks like a person could make those with a bench grinder and a hack saw to cut the slots, if they're unavailable.

They look very close to the washers from my old 66 Fairlane, the ones under the bolts that held the steering box and idler arm to the frame.
